Experience Ameland in a unique way on horseback with an unforgettable beach ride from riding school De Blinkert. With the wind in your hair, the sound of the waves beside you, and the vast beach ahead of you, you’ll feel the pure freedom of nature.

Horse riding through dunes, forest and along the beach

Accompanied by experienced staff, you’ll ride all year round through the beautiful nature of Ameland. The routes are varied and take you along:

• rolling paths through the dunes
• quiet forest trails among fragrant pine trees
• expansive heathlands
• and of course the wide beach along the North Sea

Thanks to the kilometres of bridle paths, every outdoor ride is a diverse adventure suitable for any season.

The rides are done in small groups of up to 8 people, allowing for plenty of personal attention for each participant. The riding school is ideally located on the bridle route to the sea, allowing you to enter the dunes directly.

Summer evenings full of gallop and adventure

In July and August, De Blinkert organises fixed evening rides and 3-hour beach rides for experienced riders. These special rides focus on extended gallops across the beach – a true bucket list experience!
Due to high demand, reservations in advance are required.

• Booking: All rides must be booked in advance. This can be done by phone or by visiting the riding school.
• Location: The riding school is located at the edge of the dunes and nature reserve on Ameland, perfectly situated for direct access to outdoor trails.
