The Spijkerpad on Ameland is one of those hidden spots where you can completely unwind.

What can you expect at the Spijkerpad?

Boardwalk through nature: The wooden path runs across a peaceful dune lake and gives you the feeling of walking right through the landscape.
Peace and space: Around the path, you mainly hear the wind, birds and rustling marram grass. A lovely place for anyone wanting to escape the crowds for a while.
Beautiful in every season: In spring, the surroundings are fresh green, in summer everything stands tall and full of movement, and in autumn the grasses turn warm and golden.
Photogenic spot: The Spijkerpad is especially beautiful early in the morning, when the low light falls across the marram grass and the water.
A lovely stop along the way: Combine the Spijkerpad with a walk through the dunes towards Het Oerd, one of the most beautiful nature areas on Ameland.

Location: This lovely boardwalk is on the eastern side of the island, near Buren, and makes a pleasant stop during a walk or cycle ride towards Het Oerd and De Hôn.
